Be aware that I am based in Brisbane, Australia, and that this informs my perception of text. Australian English and American English (in particular) have diverged quite noticeably. We use different words. We spell words differently. Our writing, moreover, is situated in a different cultural context.
In practical terms this means I am more likely to notice the misspelling of Woolloongabba than Mississippi. I will more likely spot a southern hemisphere rockmelon grown out of season than a northern hemisphere cantaloupe. More broadly speaking, I will be far more reliable in picking up on internal inconsistencies than errors specific to your own particular background.
